Wow! I have just learned that our show, Data Unknown, and specifically the “India’s Mobile Generation” won a Telly Award.  The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring the best in TV and Cable, Digital and Streaming and Non-Broadcast Productions.  India’s Mobile Generation won a Bronze award for Branded Content and Entertainment.

The Data Unknown is a show that speaks to people about data and how it impacts their daily lives.  I have been in the data storage business for 20 years now.  I feel very lucky to have fallen into this business.  I have also seen how data has evolved and grown over these years and with new consumer applications such as Lyft and AirB&B feeding big data applications and enabling a rapidly changing world and its only growing.

The vision for Data Unknown couldn’t have come to fruition without the help of my good friends and colleagues at MEDIABOSS. MEDIABOSS is an award-winning full service production and post company. Not only do they have the skill and knowledge to shoot amazing video, Ian Barrett, their Creative Director, knows more about how data is used than most people and was core to making the show come to life. In fact, MEDIABOSS won 7 Telly awards this year.

I couldn’t be more proud of the work we did together to create this episode as well as the whole show.  Here it is and I hope you enjoy it.

If you would like to see more episodes – you can see the show here on my YouTube channel – Data Unknown.  And stay tuned, we have taken a short break but we will be developing new shows soon.  Thank You!
